Agency Columns

Every contributing agency has a standing column page, linked from its listing.

Contributing

Contributor positions are open to verified listed agencies only. There is no open submissions path and no paid placement: a byline here is not for sale at any tier, in the same way vetting, ratings, and the Power Ranking are not.

A contributing agency receives a Contributor marker on its listing, linking to its own column page. If you are already listed and want to write, say so through your listing change request and describe what you would cover. If you are not listed yet, start with the application form.

Contributing: the details

Is every submission published?

No. Every piece is read by the PBA team before it runs, and we hold it to the standard the rest of the directory is held to. We may reject a piece or ask for another round of editing.

Does a rejection affect my listing?

Never. Editorial and vetting are separate: a piece that does not run has no bearing on your listing, your rating, or your rank.

How long until my piece appears?

Usually promptly once it is accepted. If several pieces are covering the same ground at once we may hold yours back so the column does not repeat itself, and we will tell you when that happens.

Who owns the article?

You do. The agency and the named author keep ownership of the work. Publishing here is permission to run it, not a transfer of rights.

What happens to my column if I leave the directory?

It comes down. If you ask to be delisted, or your listing is removed for a Code of Ethics breach, your column and its pieces are removed with it, because every byline here rests on a current listing.

Is there another way to submit, besides the listing change request?

Yes. A listed agency can email editorial@personalbrandingagencies.com (opens in a new tab) directly with a finished piece, or just to ask about writing one. The same review applies either way: nothing skips the read before it runs.
